An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Chronic Respiratory Community based at County Hospital, Pontypool. We are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled clinician experienced in all aspects of chronic respiratory physiotherapy. A forward thinking clinician with the skills to combine highly specialist clinical practice with innovation you will be committed to following best practice and the promotion of high quality physiotherapy services. As the clinical specialist for chronic respiratory within the physiotherapy respiratory community team you will have demonstrable leadership qualities and excellent communication and time management skills with proven abilities to build networks across sites and disciplines. Through your knowledge of emerging clinical advances within the speciality, you will be expected as part of the senior clinical respiratory team to advise the Operational Manager and Senior Management team to inform future service development. Whilst based in County Hospital, the role will support and deliver services across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and in reach as appropriate to the inpatient setting. The post holder will work within a team supported by a Clinical Lead and other clinical specialists, and alongside them provide senior leadership within the wider physiotherapy service. The Physiotherapy Service encourages staff development through internal and external training programmes, including speciality forums, clinical audit, research and clinical supervision and mentoring. We have a structured personal appraisal system in place with annual reviews. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
